Originally released in 1992, which means ten years after Asia's multi million debut, Aqua was an important turning point: singer and bassist John Payne replaced founding member John Wetton. Together with keyboarder Geoff Downes he became the nucleus of the never tired melodic rockers - till today. Both received support from the ancient Asia guys Steve Howe (Yes) and Carl Palmer (Emerson, Lake & Palmer), furthermore from drummers Simon Phillips (Toto) and Nigel Glockler (Saxon) as well as from guitar player Al Pitrelli (Savatage). For lovers of lavish keyboard sounds and harmonic melodies Aqua offers perfectly arranged bombastic rock. And with Who Will Stop The Rain there was a veritable hit and a new long-running live song.
This special edition of Aqua contains a richly illustrated 16 page booklet, new liner notes by Dave Gallant (author of the official biography Asia: The Heat Goes On) as well as three bonus tracks, including two rare live pieces.
