Popol Vuh was founded by Florian Fricke in Munich in 1970. Fricke is a forerunner in the realm of electronic music, his band has heavily influenced the ambient and trance scene of the 90's.
The last Popol Vuh album before the death of Florian Fricke was released in 1997. Modern ambient sound combining elements of techno and hip hop.
