Pain Of Salvation - The Perfect Element Part 1
from: TheBlind Date added: Wednesday, 20. September 2006 "The Perfect Element Part " is of course one of the best progessive metal work ever done! Created by the supreme mind of Daniel Gildenlöw, this album express the best mix of heavy and soft sounds. Really hard to understand deeply, this piece of art will pull you in a new dimension, through a mindblowing and fashinating concept about the human beings, the adolescence, the existence. From the opener 'Used' up to the final track (that's the title-track) you will live a mental and emotional trip inside yourself. How many CDs can do that? Trust me, really few... and maybe no one with the same intensity. Maybe THE progressive metal masterpiece. If you still don't know this album, you absolutely NEED to put your hands over it. I know I can seem a fanatic, but it's not so. I'm just a music-lover that want to tribute his favourite CD and let everyone discover it.
This is Music, this is Emotion... this is Art!.. |

Symphony X - Live On The Edge Of Forever
from: mennoix Date added: Friday, 22. September 2006 A great overview of the band's work at that point, culminating in an incredible rendition of 'the divine wings of tragedy'. Very powerful stuff, 'very worthy' indeed... The band definitely won me over with this one. In short: a must have!.. |

Spock's Beard - Snow
from: mennoix Date added: Friday, 22. September 2006 That such a level of perfection is possible! This album has it all: intricate melodies, mind-boggling signature chances, spot-on harmonies, pulsating heavy sections, amazing solo's, moving ballads. In short: all those things the mighty beard has become known and loved for over the years, but this time a double album! Not as explicit as Neal's later solo work, but just as touching - spiritual even!
With exquisite art-work; a must-have for any lover of good music... |
